Those rims are going to look good painted. Are you able to get all the old clear off with scotch brite pads?

im using 320 to get rid of the corrosion buildup that was starting under the clear coat around the old wheel weights and the backside of the wheel. Then using 400 grit wet and dry (using it wet) on the face and lips.

Then doing another de-greasing and going over with scotch brite pad to give the paint a surface to.... then tact cloth, and paint.

320 works good on them for getting off the clear. That is what I used on mine when I did them. What products are you using for the painting process?

I read your post about your wheels....but I have a PRO painter that I discussed it with, and aluminum does not need etch primer or filler, I was going to go that route but I trust his expertise of 30yrs and after the sanding is done, I will degrease again, scotch pad and tac cloth, then paint, and clear.

Im usuing the Mopar spray paint cans of my color and some off the shelf clear spray paint
