DIY Transmission Fluid Flush and Filter Change Procedure
This is a little tip I learned while trying to change tranny fluid in the driveway. Use a drill pump to get most of the oil out of the pan prior to dropping the pan. This saves most of the mess involved with dropping the pan. It also is a great way to change 50% of the oil without dropping the pan and changing the filter. Had to do this to a 95 Ford Taurus that was starting to slip and burn tranny fluid. Changed it every 10,000 miles 3 times and it lasted untill I traded that P.O.S. for a new car.
I wish I had remembered to put a plug in last time I had the pan off. It will definitely make it a neater job when you are dropping the pan to change the filters.
