I just did a buddies truck with an eraser wheel, didn't have my Astro with me as it's in my toolbox in Fla., purchased a 3m one at O'Reilly's for about $20. Worked like a charm, had the whole truck debadged in about 30 mins with just 20# braided fishing line, the wheel, a little rubbing alchohol on a rag to wipe off the residue and then some wax.
Nuthin' to it at all...

When I did mine I used an actual pencil eraser that I got at work, took all the residue off without any problems.

It's called a pinstripe eraser and I know for a fact NAPA and O'Reilly's carry them, although it's the 3m one so it costs top dollar ($24 at O'Reilly's and $28 at NAPA). Bought one in O'Reilly's last Wed. to do a friends truck, they had it in stock.

The Astro wheel is available all over the place online for around $10...

The 3M one from O'Reilly's:

Nope, although I prefer to use it on a cordless drill. I think the speed of an electric or air drill might burn the clear if held in one spot too long...

I had a bit of ghosting when I did mine too, if it doesn't buff out try a clay bar and re-waxing, thats how I got mine to shine up.

BTW I could not find an eraser wheel at any auto store (napa, autozone, checker, oreily's) had to go to a paint supply store to pick one up and they ranged from $25-$75.

Mine is getting a bit worn and I need another. A couple of guys who watched me debadge a buddies Cheby truck last week want to get one. Rather than to send them to O'Reilly's here in town to pick one up for over $26 after tax, I decided to get online and see what I could buy them for in a case.

I have started a group buy thread if anyone wants in on it...
