Default Problem at exhaust shop

Well..I went to get my CB Extreme SI/DO muffler installed today. I told the guy I wanted an exit behind each wheel with 4" slash cut tips. They put my truck up on the lift and he comes back and says the only way he can get an exit to the driver side is to run a pipe across the back of the differential. So, if your looking at the back of my truck it would have a 2.5" pipe running across the rear end to the driver side...I dont think I can deal with looking at that so I said forget it. I know some of you have this set up..is this how yours is done? Ill run em straight out the back if I hafta but I wanted to be a little different from most of the Rams I see around here.

Thats how my old cat back was ran, you couldn't see it from the back (unless yours is lifted then you may be able to).

I had true duals with side exits on my old 2004 hemi sport quad cab. Sounds to me like your exhaust guy is lazy and wants a bolt on solution instead of bending a couple tubes. My neighbor just bought it from me so let me know and I could go take some pics under the truck if you wanted to see how it was run.

That's BS, I have the same setup. The driver's side exit pipe goes up and over the driveshaft, then crosses over the rear axle on the driver's side, and then bent behind the wheel.... (Granted I had to have it redone as he didn't put it quite high enough over the driveshaft the first time and I was scrubbing it when I was towing).

The end result:
