The PB sounds like a good idea. Spray some on and let it sit for a while then try it again. Never heard of anyone ever having such a hard time removing the fan (except for the guy who was turning the nut the wrong way). Keep us updated.

the best tool for it actually i forgot to mention is one that is designed to be used with a air hammer or chissel if you have access to air line and a compressor it comes with different adapters for different applications like ford and bmw, it is the easiest thing to use one or two quick pulls on the trigger and your done then you reverse it to install the fan again. no need for heat or anything else you can even do it one handed, i got mine from the snap on dealer but im sure you can get it other places to at a cheaper cost, i spent the money cause i use it all the time being a tech and all, but any way thats what you should use and your head ache will be gone.

I guess this is for an e-fan install? All I did when I removed mine was stick a couple bolts in the holes on the pulley, put a crowbar through the bolts to hold it still, stick a pipe wrench on the fan bolt and gave the wrench a few smacks w/ a hammer turning it to the left while my dad held the crowbar. Hopefully you got it off and didn't blow up your truck from frustration.

Still not off...maybe ill try a second hand when im finished with my new tips later. Jeese, headers using a wratchet was easier than this. I think this is day 3 now of WD and PB soaking and not budging.

Nothing auxilary like heat or air. Maybe try air tomorrow with my buddy's air compressor. Now the only thing I can think of is finding and using a big wrench not the adjustable one I am using, the only explanation I have is that it loosens up on the bolt after being hit..aka not enough direct force?

How long of a wrench are you using? Is it a regular adjustable or a pipe wrench?
