Hey All,
Been lurking these forums for a couple weeks now. Ended up purchasing my first vehicle last Thursday.
2005 Dodge 1500 QC SLT
5.7L Hemi
84000KM
Maroon
I love the truck! Drives very nice, and well it feels like the cab is about twice the width of my hand-me down 99 f-150 Ext Cab.
Anyway, first upgrades were a K&N CAI and some Weathertech formed rubber floor mats (front and back).
Now I only have one complaint. A terrible squeak comming from the gap between the truck cab and box (only noticable when slider is open). I am vehicle illiterate right now (hoping to learn through this truck) can I just run around spraying WD40 on anything that moves to try and fix this squeak?

Thanks for the welcome!
Yah I love them, especially here when its snowing 6 months of the year...
Its pretty low mileage I thought. Most of the used ones were in the 100000km range.
Has some body work, a lovely door prize on the rear passanger door. Ill have to get a dent master to take it out.

Well first thing is first, congrats on the new ram and welcome aboard!!! For your squeak coming from the bed, are you sure its the bed? I think the first place I would start checking would be youe exhaust piping and exhaust hangers. Wait for the truck to cool down and climbe under and rattle the pipe around and see if it starts sqeaking. You gotta start somewhere with finding those little problems so best to start checking things that you dont need the truck moving to do.

The squeak really gets going on rough roads. Its not constant but if i were to hit a washboard it would drive anyone nuts. At first I thought it was my slider, but i had a buddy stick her head out the window, she said it was comming from the "gap" so i just assumed it would be when the box connects to the frame up in the front.
Ill have to get under the bed and move some stuff around to see if i can pin point the exact location.
Ill get some pictures up tonight for sure.
