best place to put the muffler?

Default best place to put the muffler?

where is the best place to put the muffler? closer to the engine after the duals meet or further away to the rear? i dont know if closer is better.

I think this may depend on how much interior cab noise you are willing to accept. i'm sure there will be some repsonses from forum member with more knowledge and experience than I, but I am pretty sure that the close the muffler is to the cab, the louder the interior drone you'll get. when I installed mine, i just put it right where the stock muffler was and kept my resonator to help keep the drone level down, and I couldn't be happier.

I put mine right where the stock muffler was. I suppose if you went with dronemaster, you'd want it as far back as possible. Some cars have their mufflers by the back bumper, some have it as far forward as bolted right to the cats. Just depends where the manufacturer can stick it.

I have mine as far back as I could get it. Just personal preference I guess. I like it back further so that is where I put it.
