I dont want to get into an argument over this and I am not saying he is lying about his times, I have seen the videos & the times, but to my knoledge there hasn't been any other 09' that can replicate his times. Even the 09' R/T's, which by all ratings should be faster than a RCSB 4x4 Sport/SLT, can just touch the low 14 sec mark. Every singe 09' I have seen, other than his, have ran mid to high 14's for a reg cab and mid 15's for a quad cab which are still great numbers compared to a stock 3rd gen.

I just want to see someone else with the same truck hit those numbers again 100% stock.

Yeah but he's claiming his truck was 100% stock when he got his 14.13 run... Like I said I want to see someone else with the same truck do that same run or really close to it stock...

We all have the TM issue going on. Just the '09's started the ESP which can be removed in any vehicle. There's either a fuse/relay or wiring involved that can be intercepted.
Jet chips=Junk.
Ride quality is exactly what they were going for at the cost of payload and towing.
Looks....All opinion.
No water marks for the '09s. They cannot tell what you had prior to bringing it to the dealer OTHER than the memory had recently been cleared which is not something that will cause a void in warranty. It's the same as having a dead battery or clearing out codes.

I would not own another Ram without a tuner. Absolutely not. The advatages of having one are priceless because of control of MDS(on/off) transmission control, and added power for same mpg's. Buying a tuner for better gas mileage is a joke regardless of what vehicle you own. other than a diesel because those things can be tuned to wipe your *** basically....lmao
3 comments and a question.

-Tuners can be used for better gas mileage on some gas vehicles.

-ESP uses the vehicle wheel speed sensors and ABS module. If you cut a wire or pull a fuse you will disable the ESP as well as the ABS. I checked the service manual already.

-I had no intention of pissing anyone off in the 3rd Gen forum, including you.

-Have you ever towed anything with a 4th Gen to make a valid comment? People have been towing things with no issues.

What makes it so unbelievable is that NO ONE has yet to reproduce numbers close to that. The R/T's (with their factory 4.10's and upgraded converter) are barely hitting the low 14's everything else is in the upper 14's or higher. If a few others can get into the 14.0/14.10 range with a stock non-R/T RCSB then great, he's right you're right and I'm worng and I'll fully accept that, but so far it has not happened.

Tuners purchased for gas vehicles for the sole purpose of saving MPG's is pointless because of the initial cost. it would take a really long time to actually start saving.

ESP/ABS. CORRECT. Pull the fuse to stop the ESP/ABS. I've pulled every ABS fuse in all of my cars I have ever owned except for my Mustang only because the ABS module clearly didn't work as I tested it. i hate ABS. it's for dummies who don't know how to maintain control or for the people who panic and slam on the brakes.

Towing...My comment was not in regards to the towing. it was meant for everything in general about the Rams. My 2008 stock was very sluggish for downshifting, the mds was very annoying, the trans didn't know when to shift or stay in gear certain times while cruising. That doesn't incluse the terrible low end power they severely lack, but the tuner doesn't help with that so that is out the window and I can even deal with it.
The 2009's spend even More time in MDS mode...yuck.
If you meant towing as in me stating the payload and towing specs have been reduced.. Well it's true. The towing specs have dropped because of the new rear suspension design so people can drive a truck that immitates a luxury car. Can't have it both ways. I would have to get a 2500 if i went with a new Ram because of the towing specs. C'mon, the '09 F-150 is rated for 10,000lbs. And I have driven a '09 F-150. it outpulls my Ram under 30mph and the f-150 i drove only had 3:55's. i don't need to drive an '09 Ram because it won't handle the extra weight. Especially because the sloppy rear end when weight is added.

No body is getting on anybody's bad side. this is just back and forth chat.

Local track times, other forums where guys have posted thier times, various magazine test drive reviews (cant really trust them anyways but they are semi accurate most of the time when its only one car/truck they are reviewing).

Look I am not doubting he ran those times, he clearly did if you watch the videos, But no one else has ran them even after being adjusted. If it was a the normal time for that truck, wouldn't there be a lot more people out there with times really close to that?
