ESP/ABS. CORRECT. Pull the fuse to stop the ESP/ABS. I've pulled every ABS fuse in all of my cars I have ever owned except for my Mustang only because the ABS module clearly didn't work as I tested it. i hate ABS. it's for dummies who don't know how to maintain control or for the people who panic and slam on the brakes.

Towing...My comment was not in regards to the towing. it was meant for everything in general about the Rams. My 2008 stock was very sluggish for downshifting, the mds was very annoying, the trans didn't know when to shift or stay in gear certain times while cruising. That doesn't incluse the terrible low end power they severely lack, but the tuner doesn't help with that so that is out the window and I can even deal with it.
The 2009's spend even More time in MDS mode...yuck.
If you meant towing as in me stating the payload and towing specs have been reduced.. Well it's true. The towing specs have dropped because of the new rear suspension design so people can drive a truck that immitates a luxury car. Can't have it both ways. I would have to get a 2500 if i went with a new Ram because of the towing specs. C'mon, the '09 F-150 is rated for 10,000lbs. And I have driven a '09 F-150. it outpulls my Ram under 30mph and the f-150 i drove only had 3:55's. i don't need to drive an '09 Ram because it won't handle the extra weight. Especially because the sloppy rear end when weight is added.

No body is getting on anybody's bad side. this is just back and forth chat.
I must have read into your initial statement on towing too much. I have not yet towed with this truck either, though I just added airbags to the rear end. I am going to make a 2400 mile trip with a full bed and don't want the sag.

You are right, I did not buy this truck to tow a lot, but it will see the occasional towing of my 1971 Dart, someday.

Tuners, I agree. It would take many miles, like 15000 or more, depending on the increase in gas mileage.

ABS. I will keep it. But there is a guy in a 4th Gen with his wheel speed sensors unhooked to get around the ESP, but ABS along with it.

Look I am not doubting he ran those times, he clearly did if you watch the videos, But no one else has ran them even after being adjusted. If it was a the normal time for that truck, wouldn't there be a lot more people out there with times really close to that?

4x4 regular cab. No where close. But he had elevation working against him.

V8440 also had to play around to get that time. He started in second since the truck will actually be in first, went to redline, then shifted manually for every gear after. That technique is supposed to use second and second prime, if I remember correctly.

He could also have the "factory freak".

Not if you have the fastest vehicle. Someone has to have the fastest.

Once I'm out of college and actually making money I'm going to deck out an srt10.

That sounds about right though, even after the elevation adjustment it brought him down to a 14.9 which is still a great time compared to the stock 3rd gen. As far as the shifting, I'll admit I do not know how that works in your trucks. But I cant see it shaving 0.8 - 0.9 sec of your 1/4 mile time, maybe a few tenths but not that much.

The max tow rating is still 9100lbs, just like the 08's. No reduction in towing cap.
