Cool LIFT (Going Nuts)

Ok everyone this is what i would like to do. I waant to put a 2 inch block at the rear of the truck and then get a level kit for the front if i can since I do hace torsion bars i was told i can't and was told if i put blocks under at the rear the truck would be unsafe. So how safe are using the blocks? and would i be able to level it at the front?

I have phoned to mant places today and all they do is try to sell me susp- kits for $3000 ( not happening)

you can crank the torsion bars to level the truck. (same as buying new torsion keys) you will only gain 2-3 inches with either method.
if you add blocks in the rear the rear, it will sit 2" higher than the leveled front end.....

you would probably be better off with a body lift.

Question

Ok so does anyone know if there is enough room at the rear for 35" tires and if so if i level the truck at the front would 35s fit there?

Do you need to use torsion baar keys to to turn the bars?

There is nothing unsafe about cranking the tb up front and putting a block in the rear. Anyone telling you otherwise is either an idiot, or they're trying to upsell you. 35's will fit, but they'll look stuffed!

cranking the torsion bars will be fine but the blocks in back are never good and almost anyone will tell you that and the 35's will fit fine with a 4.5" backspacing on the wheel and in my opinion look great doing this my self

Cool

So don't use blocks, Then what about another leaf spring to get more height in the back and then a 4 inch suspension lift kit for the front. Would that work? I need to get tires soon so i want to do the lift first but just don't wanna spend tons of money. thanks for you help also.

sorry but you cant get 4" of lift out of the front with just a torsion key. and if you could the angles on the cv joints would be dangerously steep.

if your wanting a cheap alternative, you can pick up a 3" body lift for around $350 and all problems are solved and your 35's would fit just fine...as long as you have the correct back spacing on your rims

Crank your torsion bars and do a body lift. If you just crank your torsion bars, 35" tires will look a little stuffed. Although gator's truck pulls it off well.

I've only seen one problem with blocks. My friend had them on his truck. We had a bunch of people in the bed driving around and they crushed.
