Light Mount
Hey guys, I was bored and searched around deal monger. I found this light mount and I think it looks pretty cool, because then I could mount my CB antenna and a pair of PIAA lights. Tell me what you guys think about it, and if it's even legal to have lights mounted this high?

Anybody else try this mount? Looks to be a great alternative to drilling holes in the cab.
Saw this old thread when searching for info on the light mount I just bought. Even got it from the same vendor as Shiloh mentioned. Also got two sets of the Baja Champions 6x9 100 watt fog lights and a 3ft firestik CB antenna to mount on it. The only down side I can see at this point will be completely eliminating the ability to go through most drive-thrus from now on.

HA HA orig post was on 9/21 and you reposted today at 9:21!
There was a thread about this a couple weeks ago, discussing whether or not it leaked. I think they look alright, if it is the look you are going for

Okay, maybe a little extra silicon to guard against leaks would be a good thing. It came with fairly decent gaskets, but I'll run a bead on it anyway. Glad you mentioned leaks smkn.
I didn't even notice the time/date match. Ha!

I would be afraid that, over time, the constant wind buffeting would be too hard on our cheap third brake light.
As far as being legal, there is no law governing the height of auxillary lights. HOWEVER, you do have to keep them covered while on the street. Doesn't mean you will get a ticket, but an a-hole cop could write you up for it.

Hell, in Ga. it is illegal for your tires to extend outward beyond the fender of your truck. Never seen a ticket written for it though. If you didnt have them on during street use, I highly doubt anyone would ticket you for having them uncovered...
Same here in VA. I run with my lights uncovered all the time.
I have a buddy in PA that has been written up for both uncovered aux lights AND tires being too wide... must suck to live there.
