Default Sport bumper help

alright im about to score a silver bumper cover and was wondering which parts i need to make it work right since i have a slt. http://www.lmctruck.com/icatalog/de/full.aspx?Page=14
i know i will need piece #9 and then the brackets pieces right?
ill probably be able to get the cover for 75 but at the most 100. is this a good deal? it does have some scratches on it but they look like they could be buffed out. any thoughts on this guys?

For $75 I think it be worth it to get it and fix it up. It may need to be repainted to get rid of the scratches and paint globs but you should be more than capable of doing that and the air dam may need replaced because of that cut on it. Not sure what parts you need to install it though. Good luck

i can live with that one little spot on it bc mine right now has a white streak on it from when a dumbass let his shopping cart go and it nailed my bumper. the airdam will be take off as soon as i got it too so not worried about that

The only thing about the air dam that you may want to look into is I am not sure if it is just bolted up to the bumper like the one on the slt is or not. I was talking to a guy a while back while we were installing my TC and he was saying that on his 2500 sport the air dam had to be completely cut off as there wasn't any bolts holding it in place like there was on mine. So just something to look into...

bring that bumper in the pics to a repair shop and bring it detached from the truck. That is all very easy to fix if u feel like paying for the paint. I dont understand what your looking for a chrome or plastic bumper because #9 is chrome.

You sure he doesn't have it? The part under the light looks a lot like the on in your first pic... Also the "lip" is like a $300 part and it looks like it just mounts to the bottom of it. I may be wrong though, I was just going by looks of what I have seen on ebay.

I had the same bumper on my 05 and I do not recall seeing bolts to take the dam off.

You could paint your chrome cheaper. Another member did it with is green Ram, but it would not hold up as good as the plastic cover as the plastic cover helps to absorb impact of flying debris.
