Thanks for all the input guys but I found some numbers stamped on the shocks and with the help of a sweet lady from pro comp got some new MX6 shocks on the way. She said based on the part numbers on the shocks it was the 4.5" kit by the way.

Glad you found the replacement shocks you needed. It might be the 4.5 lift, but unless I'm a couple beers ahead of where I think I am, there's some body lift there as well. No way is that only 4.5 total lift.

Good looking truck!

Yeah, there's definitely more to it then just a 4.5" kit.

Yeah I got the shocks from Summit. I'm a total rookie at 4x4 and this is my first truck so I feel kind of stupid not knowing what I've got when I call places asking about stuff. I can't be the first person that's totally naive about 4x4s and shocks. Let's just say I was going to look for signs of a body lift, what exactly would I be looking for?

Someone else will jump in here if I'm off target, but the easiest way I would suggest is looking in the rear wheel well. If the bed rail (side to side support under the middle of the bed) is sitting on the frame, no body lift. If there's a square brace bolted or welded in between the bed rail and the frame, then you've got a body lift. Measure the square brace and you'll know how much lift. Oh, I forgot the gap covers. There might be a plastic piece added in the wheel well to cover the gap, but if there is, you should be able to tell. Hope it helps.

What I don't understand is why put so much lift on the truck and then run such a small tire. Just my opinion of course. I'm just jealous because I'm still drooling over lift advertisements and waiting for my time to come.

I've got 4.5" of lift and your sitting a good 3" higher than I am. I'm guessing you have a body lift in conjunction with that suspension lift. Look for blocks between the frame and body. The MX6 is a good shock, made by Tennico and basically a clone of the discontinued Rancho RX9000X, which has been replaced by the XL. Not THE top of the line, but a real solid shock...

So I got the shocks in, bought $50 worth of metric tools (blah) and got these suckers put in in about 45 minutes or so. While I was poking my head around down there I found there is a 3" body lift to go along with the lift kit. Good eyes everyone! This was really easy to do literally 4 bolts off and 4 bolts back on and they were done. Funny thing, I knew one of the shocks was leaking but when I took it off there couldn't have been a drop of fluid left in it. I could compress it all the way in and it would just stay and not spring back at all. Of course the dealership said everything was good when I bought it 2 weeks ago, yeah sure it was.
