The paint finally touches - Part 2 - more pics
Ok.... for those who asked or are curious, I took my "new" wheels I got, and sanded off the small corrosion that was starting under the clearcoat (pic 1) with 320 grit paper, down to the metal.
Then I took 400 grit wet and dry paper went over the entire rim, front, back, and in the lug holes and on the bead area.
Then I took a maroon scotch brite pad and went over the entire rim, and used tac cloth to pick up any leftover particals of paint dust or corrsion dust.
Then I started painting with MOPAR Viper Graphite Metallic (pic 2) in an spray can from my local Dodge dealership.
In the "The paint finally touches" thread I just had the front painted, and also a few questions asked about prep and paint work. So I started this thread to answer all questions and to show the back part of the wheels that I just painted tonight.
Im still not sure about what Im using for a clear coat, but I will let you all know when I decide.
Enjoy the pics.... Its going slower than I thought cause Im just working on them when I get time after work, and when the weather is decent with very little/no wind.

with a black cd case to color comparison, I think there was confusion over what color the rims were painted in the last thread.

and more black items next to for color comparison, cause I know your guys like looking at pictures.

You mean tires? Im swapping over my Wranger Silent Armor A/Ts from the stock 20in "flower pedal" wheels, and probably putting the stock Wranger HPs I have in the garage onto the "flower pedal" wheels, and probably selling them.
