Default 4wd ****

So I have an 02 4X4 that was the image package, so it has the 4X4 **** instead of the lever, now I know how to go in and out of all of them, 2wd, 4hi, 4lo, but is it supposed to be able to go into neutral? or is the little green N at the bottom left just there for show? because if its supposed to, I sure as hell can not figure it out... Im just curious really, so if anyone has an answer for me as to how, or to tell me if its not supposed to, well, I would appreciate it. Thanks much!

I could be wrong, but I think the neutral setting is for if you are being towed or something. Like the truck goes in neutral but you have to put the 4WD shifter in neutral as well.

I Have not figured it out either you can not turn the **** to neutral. If any one knows how that would be great.

On my 07 the *** doesnt actually turn to Neutral. Next to the "N" there is a little button (look really close). never used it though.

On mine the N light is there because it needs to be in neutral to put it into 4wd lo. Without it in neutral it won't shift into 4wd lo. I should add that it is the actual transmission that I am talking about that needs to be in N, not the transfer case.

Most trucks without a floor shifter don't have a transfer case neutral. I could be wrong, but I don't think you can.
