Well you gotta go in with a plan otherwise you are just throwing things at it hoping it all works out for the best. I have had this planned for a long time now. From the performance aspect to the visual mods. But now that this free's up about $250 I can pick up something else if I want to add to my growing shopping list. Im actually going to be ordering about a grand worth of parts this weekend to put into the truck so it'll be fun. Truck will probably scare me after its done though, a hell of a lot of power in a light *** truck.

You were gonna go with OEM gaskets anyway right? As far as bolts go, pull out an oem bolt and get the thread size from that. I would measure your flange thickness on the headers and add 3/4" to that thickness. My JBA hardware was basic bolts with lock washers. I would def get lock washers unless you planned on using mild loctite. I think green is mild stuff.

so $250 xtra...cough..cough...CAM???...lol

I'd go with the OEM gasket for sure, but I'm not so sure about the locking bolts.

I've had the cheazy paper gasket and bolts that Pacesetter supplied on for about three years now. I keep waiting for the damn gasket to fail, but with just a slight tightening of the bolts needed every 6k oil change, it's showing no signs of failure yet.

As far as the bolts go, I had a conversation with the local performance shop guys not long ago and mentioned that I was looking at the locking bolts from Moe's and got a "no - hell no" in unison from them. Seems they are seeing some cases of the soft aluminum threads failing in the block from vibration over time. Theory is, something has got to give a little and if the bolts can't move, the threads go.

Never thought about it, but it makes sense. So, I guess when my paper gasket fails, it'll just be a Mopar one. I can live with re-torquing the bolts once or twice a year...

I was going to order it this weekend, unfortunately they, like everyone else, are out of the blanks right now and dont really have a time frame as to when more will be back in. Could be a week or a month. I talked to one of the guys about it and he said he'd shoot me an email or call when they get some in.
