$70 http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/GM-Ch...QQcmdZViewItem. usually a parts store like autozone will rent you the tool for a refundable deposit.

You can use a big C-Clamp, but like stated, you can get one at most auto parts stores for just a deposit, most don't charge anything above that and you'll get that back...

Honestly, if a quick turn has both sides level to one another don't stress on it anymore. That's if everything looks kosher underneath.

That's a nice area. I have a coworker that lives off Sheridan near Ft. Logan cemetery.

Well I was hoping to level the truck. It's at or near stock ride height up front now. I did get under it and take a little closer look and everything looks fine. Maybe I'll just get a pair of new torsion bars and hope that I'll actually gain some adjustment after they are in. I'd hate to spend $200 and not fix it. On second thought maybe I'll just get some new leveling brackets and call it good.

Gm tool is 100% not needed. remove your bottom shock bolts first then jack both tires compleltely off the ground. The key bolt should loosen fairly easily and the bar will come out after the bolt has been unthreaded all the way.

I have been screwing with my stupid torsion bar keys for the longest time and I've never been able to get them EXACTLY perfect. One thing to look into is your lower control arm. I've stripped one (where the torsion bar goes in) and the ride height kept drooping down over a couple days, i'd tighten the torsion bar key up a little it would level out. But after i went wheeling or hit a bump really hard the torsion bar would turn a tiny bit in the control arm and make the front end sag in one corner.

doubt this is your problem but dont count out anything :-)

Thanks for the heads up on removal. I'll give that a try.
