Default 350 in a Ram?

I found a rebuilt chevy 350 on craigslist and was just curious....would it be too much work to pull my v6 and put in the 350? I know that the motor mounts and all that stuff would need to be changed and stuff and a buncha other stuff too...but has anyone ever thought of doing this?

Terrible idea. The cost alone would break the bank versus going on Ebay and finding a low mileage 5.7L hemi pull out for around $2k including wiring etc.

Motor wouldn't line up to the tranny, wiring wouldn't be right, injectors, ecu, exhaust.....etc..etc....just a bad idea.

You can get a engine/tranny complete pull out for about $2500 off ebay. That is your best bet.

Sorry man but youd be better off trading your truck in for a hemi. 1. new motor mounts, 2. new tranny or an adapter, 3. theres alot of emissions that will not mesh with the 350. 4. efi will be completely different, and if its carbed then thats a whole new bag of worms. You have to think of the technology difference from the 80s to now.. Itd be easier to put your dodge body on a chassis from an older chevy, the only plus would be then itd have a SFA!!!

You'd have better luck doing a body swap than an engine swap. Bad Idea, like dirtydog said, buy a pulled engine/trans off ebay.

You know, when I was big into Olds and guys would come in saying they dropped and chevy 350 in there or wanted to, they didnt last long on the boards. They would get flamed bad and run off quick.

Why would you ruin a perfectly good Dodge by dropping a chevy in it? Especially since a 360 was an OE option in your truck?

for real! just get a 5.9L they are everywhere! and tons of ways to upgrade them. lots of potential. all you would need is 46re transmission.
