Default Finally Got My New Tires

I don't know if you guys remember my posts asking about tires but I finally got some new ones. I looked at Terra Grapplers and also Cooper Zeon LTZ's and had decided on the LTZ's. So I get to the shop and say I want Zeon LTZ's and I am told a way larger price than what I found on the internet. But I got over it, so then I was all ready to have them ordered in and I am told that they have no tread wear warranty. I had read that people get around 30k out of em so they convinced me to look at some other cooper's. They showed me the Cooper Discoverer ATR on the computer and I didn't like it, then they said that had them in stock and to come look at them and wow. The computer doesn't do them a justice as to how aggressive the tread is. I ended up paying 204 a tire to make a grand total of 872 including tax. (Yea.. bit pricy for me at least) I have to admit though I really like the looks of these tires and if I get stuck with these I'm gonna crap my pants. No tire shine yet cuz I plan on seein how much I can go through before I need a winch or a buddy to get me out.

man you gotta talk to your mom about them runnin boards, tell her to let you get some different step bars. tell her they have horrible aerodynamics and you will get way better gas mileage with some differnt ones. i like your tires but cant quit lookin at those runnin boards... and what makes it worse is i feel bad for you cus moms wont let you take em off. good luck and nice tires! wonder why ltzs didnt have a tread warranty?

Yea I need to tell her something like than and maybe she'll go for it. I was told that the LTZ's are very soft rubber because they are still ment to perform almost like a street tire on pavement. These however have a 50,000 mile 5 year warranty. I have yet to decide if I want nerf's are just single steps. It has nothing to do with tires or this thread but if anyone has pics of single steps I would like it if you would post a pic in this thread. I know what the nerf's look like and I like em but I wanna see some steps.

wouldnt it be a tragedy if when you were seeing what those tires could go through you ripped both running boards off in a rut

That would just be a tragedy but when I take them off I would like to be able to sell them and get some cash on craigslist, and if that happened it might damage the body because there are a few bolts going through the body underneath the door.

I'm glad people are liking them because I wanted something aggressive. From what they showed me on the computer they looked like regular highway tires and then they showed em to me and I was in shock. I like the looks better than the LTZ's to be honest. According to their site they perform just as well in mud and dirt but the dry handling is a little worse.
