Leveling Kit Question / Issue
Hey guys,
Before anyone says anything, I did try to search the forum to see if this had already been addressed and came up empty.
A while back, I installed a daystar leveling kit (coil spacer). 1.5". Now, If I hit a bump at 40-55 that is too big, My upper arm hits the upper coil tower.
Does anyone else have this issue? What can be done to correct it other than taking the levling kit off?
Also... on a good note, just got new shoes!!!
Cooper Zeon LTZ's... 275/60/20.... so far REALLY HAPPY with these.
Thanks for any help in advance.

I got the same problem on my Grand Cherokee Overland. Only on the driver side! Everything looks identical on both sides. Now I'm not TOO concerned because in MY case it takes a pretty big bump at decent speed to do it, but none-the-less, I'm still puzzled why I only get it on the drivers side...
It's because the upper control arms are already at a steep angle. When you add a lift to it, it makes the angle much steeper and allows the control arm to touch.
Some guys have the problem and others dont? o you have stock shocks? That could be an issue because as well.

I have the same issue with my 2" kit - I have Fabtech shocks that are longer as well, but it still hits occasionally. It's not a big deal, just kind of an annoyance. You learn not to hit bumps with the passenger side....
Well maybe I'll try to change out the shocks to something stiffer. I bought the cheap-o Pro Comp ES3000's.
At least there are others that are having this issue... either I did do everything correctly or there are more boneheads than just me!!!
Thanks for all the responses guys... guess I'll try new shocks.

In your case, a nitrogen shock with it's stiffer characteristics may be the ticket, or a good band aid at least...
