"Lamp Out" WTF
Okay the other day the "lamp out" light came on and the blinker started doing the fast clicking **** so I went around checking the lights and noticed my left rear turn signal wasnt working. I decided then well it's a good time to put in some LED bulbs since I tinted the tail lights. I found the correct sized bulbs and popped them and now the Lamp Out light is still on. So along with the front turn signals blinking at the speed of a 12 year old beating it, now the rears blink slowly and not as bright. So what the **** is going on?
there is a jumper wire thing my buddy had to use on his s-10 to make his led bulbs work right. idk about the ram though isnt there a computer chip in the tails? im sure there is a special part you can buy.
I have heard around here before that people have had to put resistors in to "trick" the truck into thinking you have an incandescent bulb in there instead of the LED bulb. I think the value depends on the particular LED bulb you have in there. The truck is looking for a particular resistance in the circuit and the LED does not have the same value as the incandescent.
