torsion bar unload

Default torsion bar unload

So I just unloaded my torsion bars, and Im trying to slide the bar forward to get my keys loose, and the bar wont slide forward like everyone explains, am I missing something?

They torsion bar may bottom out in the lower control arm without giving you enough room to drop the key out. Bring the torsion bar toward the back first, then tilt it to get it into a spot that it can move forward a few inches.

normally they wont slide further into the control arm, if anything slide it towards the back of the truck, tilt the key then slide it out. I've had to use a monkey wrench to free them from the control arm
