Default Heading to the Track Friday night...

Alright so friday night I will be heading down to the track for there test and tune night with a few others, I've been racking my head trying to think about what all needs to be done to the truck between now and when we head out to the track. Its been about 6-7yrs or so since I was last there with my old chevy so its been a while. So I guess my main concern between now and then is what prep work do I need to do to the truck to make sure I dont blow anything up?

I have already decided that I do not and will not be taking anything off the truck, so the tonneau, tail gate, spare tire will still stay on and will probably be running with about a hlf tank or so. I dont see a point in running with anything less than I usually do everyday of the week.

I don't go to the track but I would think it would be good to give it a once over and make sure anything loose in the cab is removed so you don't have crap flying everywhere when you hit it off the line.

What is your current mod list for your upcoming runs? I am curious to hear how it runs.

Nothing new power wise has been added since I couldn't get the LT's done over the weekend like I was planning.

But here is the current list of Performance / Handling mods:

- Borla XR-1 Racing Muffler Dumped
- AFE Hemi High Breather CAI w/ Modified MIT Tube
- 4.56 Gears
- DMH E-Cutout
- Flow Tech Pipe
- UpGraded 26 row Trans Cooler
- APS TQ Converter w/ 2700 Stall
- Diablo Sport Predator Tuner, 91 tune (Modified)
- Bilstein HD Shocks
- Hellwig Rear Anti-Sway Bar
- Yokohama Parada Spec-X 275/55/r20
- Stock 20" Polished Aluminum Wheels

Truck was 4950 with me in it last time I weighed it in at the dump, since then though I added that sway bar assembly which added about 35lbs total to the rear axle.

The LT's are what I was wondering about, wasn't sure if you got them on or not. So what kind of time are you shooting for?

Nah I couldn't get them on cause the damn things needed a few O2 bungs welded in to the Y pipe and the ONLY shop around here that has them closed at like 3 that day and there wasn't a single hardware/auto parts place that had them or had an 18mm nut. kinda disappointing.... But whatever, I have everything now so they'll be on soon.

For times, I really dont know. Just taking a guess I think I'll be somewhere around the mid 14's.

Oh yeah I'll definitely have the slips posted.

Now back to the OP, what do I need to check and recheck before heading out?

Debris in the truck, check all the fluids, bring a tire guage and maybe a basic wrench set just incase. Thats all I would bring for a truck.
