Default Dash lights on and key not in ignition but still dings

I have a 2004 Dodge 2500 4x4 diesel, I am having trouble with my dash lights staying on this being the odometer light and the gear selector lights as well the truck dings like the keys are in the ignition at all times even when it isn't and this is draining my batteries. The dealers say there are no codes on it, but they cant tell me what it is either. I have changed the clock spring and airbag module to no help either. Any help appreciated

If you pull the wire harness off the back of the light switch do they go out?

No I just tried this but that doesnt work, I found out his truck has an "autopage" systaem in it. Not sure what this is but if I unhook one of the harnessses from it the lights go out, but batteries still go low. Must ahve somehting to do with this "autopage" anyone know what this is and how to disable/remove it? Thanks
