Default Liberty Intake Tube

I was reading through the forum and I noticed that the Liberty Intake Tube is mentioned as a low budget method of stream lining the intake. Unfortunately all the pictures showing the setup are no longer available. So are people using the intake tube to directly hookup the TB to the filter housing?

You mean like this?

I registered on a liberty forum since I was planning on doing the same and was told the diameter on this 3.35" on the accordion end and where the tube hooks up to the tb is 3.15". Which is too small.

Here is one someone is selling if you are still interested.

Ok, that is a way better picture then the diagram picture I saw before. Yea, it may be too small; from what I read it needs to be from a 2004 jeep liberty. Maybe they made it different back then or that thread is really old. I looked it up and it was about $30. I'll see if I can find that part number again. I guess if you were going to keep the stock filter housing this would be a good way to go.

It took a lot of searching but finally found the part number. 53013724AA Also if you go this route I guess one of the sensors may not reach and you'll have to cut the wires and extend them a couple inches. Also I think you have to extend a hose from the PVC to the stock box.

Let me know if you are interested in the liberty intake tube. I will send you the info for the seller of one..He told me $30 shipped for it.

He just pm'd me with correct measurments..3.4" from the accordion hose and to the tb is 3.180" to the tb. I new his first measurments had to be off since I have seen this intake on a dakota.
