Not at all, a 6.1 long block will drop right in. You can even bolt on the 5.7's original intake manifold (it will work, even with the port mismatch). It just won't be as powerful as it would in one of the cars. But you'd have already in for later.

No, what I'm saying is if you put a stock 6.1 in the truck with the truck manifold and exhaust system, it will not make as much power as a stock SRT8 anything with the SRT intake manifold (and bigger injectors), exhaust system and computer. With the stock truck intake and exhaust, it will choke the 425hp (mainly due to port size mismatch) most likely down to the 380hp-ish range. The 6.1 will drop right in, but will not perform like it would in an SRT car with all the good intake, computer and exhaust hooked to it. A good 93 octane performance tune to the 5.7 computer will allow it to run decent, just not the raped ape it should be WITHOUT modifications.
