Thumbs up Best Choice 3rd Gen. '05!

I bought the '05 new and love it; I would not trade for anything I've seen since. I did buy the Laramie with every available option and this is where I see major differences. The later models deleted some features that I liked such as power passenger seat, I like the '05 Laramie seats better, I don't like the cheapo wood-grain dash of later models and I personally would not want MDS or the softer suspension. I've found it easy to modify with cosmetic and performance options to suit my taste too. But what's important is to pick what YOU like, if Chrysler goes belly-up as it appears will happen then we'll be driving dinosaurs anyway - this is just my 2 cents worth.

Looks like alot of votes for '05, I like my '06 but that's just cause it's mine, I think the number one factors you should consider are the basics how many miles are on it,price, how well taken care of it is,I would get the Hemi regardless of what year or you'll be wishing you did(unless of course you bought a Cummins).

What are you gonna do with the truck? Daily driver, towing duties, etc. What mods are you planning? If you plan to do an exhaust get a pre '06 truck so you don't need to worry about what it will sound like when the MDS kicks in or plan on dropping some cash for a programmer to turn MDS off.If you are gonna do alot of work with it consider a 2500 that eliminates MDS and gives you some beefier under bits. Whatever you end up with you'll have a great truck!
