Ok, make sense. But for someone doing thier own TB, where would they get a new blank plate from? I am assuming you could machine one on a lathe if you needed to? Aluminum? Stainless?

You know why Im asking.......LOL

i would say machining one would be the easiest and cheapest route. Stainless over aluminum because it can be much thinner which allows more air to pass through on less throttle movement.
