I know to port heads there are several tool you can use but the heads I used to do were Olds heads and cast iron so it took longer and less metal came off. The TB is a different and softer metal but I would imagine using a dremel tool and a sanding drum would be a way to do it. Go slow and have a micrometer so you know how much you are taking.

Im sure others will chime in with more and maybe better info.

Gonna take a long time with a dremel, so be patient. Don';t grind one are at a time. Keep the dremel bit moving. the dremel bit i used to "fake port" my mustang T/B was made for aluminum bet yet would get clogged all the time. it was a PIA. i say fake because it really isn't a port unless the center bore where the butterfly plate is enlarged. You can have a 1,000mm T/B front and back, but if that butterfly opening is still 80mm, it's only as goo as an 80mm T/B. The ONLY benefit is contouring right near the plate so when it opens the slightest amount, the opening for air to squeeze through is larger than stock which results in a touchier T/B for "response". That is the only benefit you will get. There will be no HP increase FYI

If you end up doing it take some pics of the process. It would be helpful to other guys who want to do the same mod.

Teach, i thought you have a Fastman T/B that is machined?

I was debating whether or not to do some shaving around the butterfly myself, but i just don't know if i wanna deal with a super touchy throttle. it was kinda onnoying on my mustang for normal driving.

I do have the TB from fastman but I was thinking that other guys who don't want to go that route might want to try it themselves. It would be a pretty good diy if it works well.

If you don't like a touchy throttle you probably don't want to port out your tb. That is one of the biggest changes I notices when I changed to my fastman tb. Personally, I like a touchy throttle but it is just a matter of personal preference. Around town driving is a little better too with the tb.

I understand what you are saying Dogg about porting around the butterfly area but if you do that wont that let more air pass the plate when closed and how would that affect idle?

It would effect idle if you kept the same size plate. You would need to install a larger plate to keep the hole closed. The only real way to gain CFM flow is to make the plate bigger.
