Well, you will have issues with the check engine light without cats and I'd doubt that it will pass inspection without any. I haven't seen the 04 cats, they may be about the same as my 08.

as long as there is no visual inspection and they just plug into the OBDII port you'll be fine. If you do have a visual inspection they may not like it to much.

Try finding a copy of your area's inspection code or ask someone at one of the inspection stations what the law is. Here in the states you can usually find that kind of info online, so maybe you can find some info for your area online too.

A check engine light will most times fail you on an E-Test
I have Intake, headers, stock Y pipe and cats, with full cat back exhaust
and a superchips tune and my truck did amazing on the test

I live in Toronto...

Sorry guys i worded that wrong

I meant if i had headers to my stock cats and 02 sensor chunk of piping, cut it before the actualy Y pipe and made true dual. Im sure that has been done.

If your stock cats are still in and in working order you'll have no problem passing an E-Test in ontario with true duals..

Yes, headers to stock Y pipe, then cut the Y-pipe behind the rear O2 sensors and go true duals on back should be fine.
A good set of shortie headers like Dirtydog got would work nice.
I'm thinking of driving up to New York with my tool bag and borrowing his for awhile
