When I did the rear on my truck I just used some permatex. No leaks in the last year since I did it.

No need for a gasket, just RTV.

Just make sure everything is clean and dry and wipe out diff and use RTV!

Wow, I am such a loser at ****.

I can't find the hole now. On the top there is a sensor and a screw/bolt with some lines attatched to it. took that off, no hole. Impatiece and aggravation sets in and I break the sensor off. Wow Im a ****ing dip****. I am going get a beer and finish later.

yep, our diffs call for RTV, although I have seen gaskets available.

Just make sure you scrape the old off both sides real good and let the sealant "set" for a few minutes before you replace the cover...

As said before, no gasket on mine, just RTV. My Auburn LSD came with a gasket and it went in the trash.
