Use a clay bar and rub it along the paint. It takes off road grime, tar, even paint. Also smooths out the clear coat, not sure it that's just 'cause it takes so much crap off or it it's filling in the holes.

I just spent the day doing the same to both my dodges and washed/waxed the car. Only took me 6 hours. Didn't detail insides yet though...that's tomorrow

I do a good wax twice a year and a clay bar once or twice depending on how bored I am when I decide to wax.

Is there not already a detailing post? Perhaps a faq? I recall seeing something like that once on here.....

The paint looks nice and clean. Do have any pics from a little farther away so we can get an idea of what the whole truck looks like?

clay barring is required when contaminants enter the paint. the sun heats the clear coat up and throughout driving your vehicle, gas emisions, and several small particles work their way into the clear coat. when the clear coat cools off the contaminants stay within the clear coat. similar to the way that hoods, roofs, and trunks are the first to show deteriation in color.

The site has a detailing section up already. Or at least it did last time I checked. But last I looked for it was before they moved around like the regional section and what-not.
