Default New Brakes

Just installed new brakes from www.brakeperformance.com. It cost me less for these than I could've gotten OEM replacements for from NAPA.

Not trying to be rude but all you have to do is click on the link, then click on brake pads and then choose your ride

To the OP, those are good prices and all but what do you do when you need new pads again? Go buy more?

My ceramics were 60 from AZ and are LLT. So when they wear out I just turn them in and get a new set.

Thats just something you gotta think about.

Yep Weed, that is correct.
I have also heard that drilled rotors are not so great. Slotted are great, it allows the gasses between the pad and rotor to escape and help vent some heat as well.
Drilled rotors have holes which give the rotor a good place to crack. For a heavy daily driver, I would only use an OEM or slotted rotor, not a drilled unit. Just something to think about, especially if you do any heavy towing as I do at times.

I would talk to autozone about that LLT warranty. I know people that work at advance and autozone and what they say is that warranty covers if the pads break or crack. Not if they just "wear" out like they all normally do. Now obviously you complain enough they will replace them but I don't think that just because it wears out they will replace it.

They are usually cracked by the time they are worn, so I have never had any problems getting them replaced.

I have the EBC rotors.
They are "drilled" but not all the way through.
Plus the holes are profiled somewhat, into what looks like a dimple. They also have wider slots than my previous drilled and slotted rotors.
All this gives what I can only endorse in their advertising, as a "superior braking system".
They work VERY well.
Al.

Ive had LLT beakes on ALL of my rides as that is the habit my dad got me into because he has them on all of his and Ive tunred many sets in only to get a new pair. I have learned to keep a copy of the receipt because they print theirs on thermal paper and over time it will fade. I have went t turn some in and they say they couldnt find me in the computer so then I pull out the receipt.

I got all four rotors with front and rear ceramic brake pads for $457. That included shipping. The rotors are slotted and dimpled, not cross drilled. The rotors carry a lifetime warranty, which includes warpage. I got these because I pull a 5500 lb trailer and every time I have to stop it in a hurry, the OEM rear rotors warp (26K miles = 3 sets). I only posted about it because I thought the price was fantastic.
