wow this is weird i never heard of loosing power or torque from putting on a CAI, i had a 4.7L in my 02 dodge ram, reg cab, short bed, and i put in a completely custom built one i did up on a day off, it was a dual ram air/cool air intake, with the air coming in through the what would be fog light hole vents and getting shot right into the reusable K&N filters and then up through the inside of the fenders to cool it down some then dumped two into one straight into the throttle body, and my butt dyno as they say, told me i def gained some power, and at 55+mph i def gain at least 1 if not 2 mpg's due to the ram air, and i have done the math and it shows just that, course im putting in a hemi now, so ill have to see if the hemi will act the same!
