Removed the CAI....
I recently fitted a K&N panel filter in the standard air box, purely because I picked it up for the price of a replacement paper filter, but the CAI option seems to be a complete waste of time on these trucks with more and more people realising they make more noise for less useable power, I even wonder whether the one on my car should be removed!
It seems the best mod for all round improvements is the Diablo tuner, more power, more torque where you can use it and gives better mpg's.
Would be worth doing a bang for buck comparison of tuner, exhaust and CAI at low and high revs.........I bet the tuner comes out tops.

I just bought one of these for my 4.7. I will see how it does. They come on the Jeep Liberty.

I dont think I would put the CAI in the same group as a performance mod or an mpg mod since the gains by its self are very minimal for the price. Instead I would put it in the "helper" mod group. By itself it doesn't much but in combination with other performance parts they do help.
So sure there are better mods out there that for the same price give you much better results but, for the most part, those other perfomance mods benefit from having it on than going through the stock box and "hat".

I lost no low end power with my Airaid MIT. I also use a K&N drop-in filter.
I did lose a little low end with the Magnaflow cat-back but got more mid and top end power. Didn't lose enough to effect towing though.

There is a guy on the liberty forum who is selling one for $30.00 shipped from his 2007. Let me know if you need his info..
I really dont care for intake noise even with the minimal noise my mit tube produces, so Im hoping this one will do the trick.
