Removing the grill inserts

use a skinny nail but make sure u flatten out the point, and then use a hammer and push the pin out. the pins at the top of the grill are slightly blocked. if u look under the pin there is a platform that is blocking the pin from being pushed out, u can use a small screw driver and bend the pin so it comes out from the side.

also reassembling can be a pita. i used a nail that was a little wider then the pin and expended the pin slots on the pushpin.

I used zip ties to bolt mine back in. Can only see them when hood is up and you look up at the rear of the grill.

exactly what jar said you can only see em from behind cause i used em where the holes were originally i mean can you see the original pins? i mean i have one or two exposed from them holding the gutter material on the way i made it but i dont care cause you can barely tell its there but its just a back side who's really gonna know......

Yeah, I think my truck is too old and the pins are to weathered because the first one I tried pulling, the top part, the one that is pictured. Just snapped off the skinny rod that inserts down into it. I will try to save them, but if worst comes to worst I can to the zip ties.

OMG, eff you guys. Could someone have not said push the middle part in? Lol, after breaking a good number of them I finally figured out that damn grill insert. The one I purchased from johnny looks bad *** on there. I will take some pictures for you children.

they dont call em push pins for nothing. and i dont have children but if u have the billet grill i would wanna check them out

Yeah, your picture has a screw driver and the edge lifted up. So I figured oh I am supposed to use a screw drive to lift the edge up... Oh well, next time don't show that pic

i just took an 1/8" drill bit in the old trusty drill and drilled them out like rivets
