Since when do cosmetic tips have anything to do with your engine and performance? I'd stay with 4s though. I think 5s will look to big

Hell, I say go down a size to 3" or 3.5". I think the Big tip thing has been done to death.

Ok, I guess 4s it is. Ive got 4x22" tips now but my current exhaust is about to be removed and duals with LTs going up.

Actually its going to be Pacesetter LTs down to 2.5" pipe to two cutouts, then the X pipe, then two round 14" magnaflows, over the axle and out the back to some new tips. I like side exits but putting them before the tires with this setup i think would be too loud and behind the tires would mean i would be constantly cleaning them. Ah, no cats BTW.

You are making the right choice sticking with the 4" tips. The 5's would just look too big. Your new exhaust setup sounds like it is going to be nice.

I know exactly what you mean. Some shops won't touch anything that involves removing the cats. Also, I am not sure what the laws are like where you live but around here if you get caught without cats your truck gets impounded.

Consider yourself lucky. Around here they are a bunch of ball busters for the most part.
