Thats the thing that has me questioning going with no cats and has been bugging me for a very long time, but from what I have been told by others here running with no cats, I should be okay. We dont do an inspection, they only plug into the OBDII port and test the gas cap and you're good to go. I may end up putting them back in though just incase.

Back on topic, 4" should work out fine but then again I am becoming more and more a fan of the no tip dumped look.

Here in PA it is a state thing, so getting through an inspection without them is basically impossible unless you know someone. But isn't it also a federal law that you can't mess with the emission controls?

still not sure if it will be loud enough tho... got a soundclip?
Here is one of the first day right after I installed it. It's a little louder now that it has a few miles on it. Nice tone cruising, but sounds great under heavy throttle!! I need to get an updated video from the outside and get an in-cab.

Id love to change mine to dumped just behind the axels. But in NC you have to have tips coming from out and under the vehicle. Gay. I need to change out my tips. Any good sites with a good selection of SS tips?

When I bought mine the first time I got them (2.5x4x22") off ebay and theyve been there for 3-4yrs and never an issue out of them.

Lx, you installed your setup yourself? How hard was it to do? If I could I wouldn't mind installing my muffler myself.

I've got 3.5" x 18" tips on mine, very similar to LXMan's except mine are cut at 45 degrees at the ends.
4" would be the biggest I think you should go...

personally i think exhaust tips are overrated. i plan to get a turndown on the back of the muffler and keep it all hidden, so that would be my suggestion/opinion. ive heard that pointing the exhaust towards the ground gives a good echo and makes the tone a bit louder too. not sure how much truth is in that though
