Default Air temp sensor relocation

Hey all...well im finally going to do a CAI system that i will be happy with. I got a 4 inch k and n cone filter all the four inch couplings and adaptors/reducers that i need and im going for it....ive read on dodge talk that the BFI relocates the sensor to the front of the vehicle with a small k and n filter over it so it gets cold air from going down the road....this would make the motor think its getting colder air than it is??? better for performance or worse??? whats your guys opinions on relocating the sensor outside of the intake system.

you want cold air going in, hence the Cold Air Intake. moving you sensor out shoud help get colder readings. i just put on a home made power wire knock off which is just a 4.7k resistor spliced in and it automatically dropped my iat readings by 20* and i didnt have to move anything.
