I dont know if its on the right place here but i have a problem whit my hemi engine. Since 2 months ago when i stop my truck my engine want to falls off. Every time i brake at the moment the wheels are still the engine want to turn off. The rpm falls for a quick moment to 400 rpm or just under that and pull it than up to 500rpm. 2 times at 10 the engine failed when its below the 400rpm.A month ago i thought it was the egr valve and placed a piece of metal between the egr valve and the engine and the problem was done. Yesterday i put the new egr valve and the same problem again. Can somebody help my? Sorry for my spelling

 

So if I'm understanding this, you just replaced the EGR valve? If so then when was the last time you cleaned the TB (throttle body)? Are you getting any CELs (check engine light)? What model truck are we working on here? BTW, Welcome to DF!

 

Its a Dodge Ram 1500 from 2005. The check engine light gives any errors only the time when the valve was closed whit the metal plate. Now with the new egr valve no errors from the cel's. Cleaning the throttle body is done by my mechanic 2 months ago when the problems started

 

have you tried changing out your thottle positioning sensor?.I had the samething happening and after i changed it there was no problem
