I gotta say GM has always had the edge in Auto transmissions,I've owned several and loved them all. None had the seat of the pants power of the Hemi but the 5.3 wasn't bad and the tranny was superb compared to the one in my Ram. I still love the Ram best though. I have never driven a Ford and enjoyed it,not saying they are bad trucks just not for me.

 

i was looking for a 2500 CTD with a 6spd before i got my hemi, but after driving a tractor trailer with a 10spd for a year, i decided not to go with the manual trans.
