2002 ram 1500 with 5.9 ,turned a corner and started pushing on the gas and the worst backfire, misfire i've ever felt. No codes, fuel pressure good. hard to start and the exhaust stinks and it's not flooding. To me it sounds like it running out of gas. If i push slowly on the gas i can get it up to speed.

You may want to check your catalytic converter to see if it has broken apart and clogged youe exhaust pipe

check your plugs, wires, dist. cap and rotor. sounds like it could be your pick-up coil.

The exhaust isn't plugged. With the scanner hooked up , it shows while it is sitting there idling, about 6 different cylinders misfiring.

I found the problem, it was the coil wire burnt off in the boot.
