Hey guys, decided I want to go with a locke rin the rear, but not sure which rear end I have and where to get one. Truck is a 2004 4.7 2wd, and not a factory lsd. Which one do i need? Looking for either a Detroit or Powertrax

s13_marine,
Are you running stock gears? If not, what tire/gear combo are you running? I have the same truck/engine. I'm putting 35s on, and trying to figure out what gears to go to.

A lot of guys (like myself) prefer the Auburn LSD over Detroit TruTrac. Its about $100 less, and locks up quicker. You have a 9.25" chrysler rear end. Check out moesperformance.com or airram.com for great prices. 4.56 gears are a great choice for gears with 35's.

right now i'm stock tires and gears... however, i'm going 4" lift, 35's, 4.56 gears, and i'm pretty sure I wanna stay with a gear type locker, ie: Detroit or Powertrax. I just like the reliability and durability of a gear type.

Thanks for the heads up, moes has a great package deal for the Detroit TrueTrac + Gears + bearings & install kit.
