Default Ebay transmission

hi

lost my reverse gear last night.....
just no power when i put the trans in reverse...

I live outside US so it is quite expensive to rebuilt my trans here.
so I need a new trans. I hope to get some idea about where to by one.
did some search on ebay and found this:
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Dodge...item3ef7cdebf9

this is 1/3 off the price to rebuild here in Norway.
do anyone have any experience whit this company?

thanks for all help!

that doesnt look like the trans outta my 02 ram, and they charge a core charge or you have to send yours in, and they dont include torque convertor or any bolts or anything, and they dont pay for you to ships yours in, i would say call your junkyards near you, i just grabbed mine outta a 2005 durango for 500, so there a steal, and only 45K miles on it, i dont know what engine size your truck has, but look for any 44RE or 45RE trans, like these:

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/02-DO...item3a53e8ef35

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/02-DO...item3a53e8e934

hope these might lead you in the right direction, and just look for one with low miles and your ready to throw in and go, and if you have any other trans questions, just post a reply, cuz i just got done swapping mine in, and i can prolly answer most of your questions and problems, hope this helps, later

I would think that shipping would be quite high to ship from the USA to Norway. Thee transmission is quite large and heavy.

I was thinking the same thing. Couldn't even imagine what it would cost to ship something like that to Norway.

thanks for the reply's
the shiping off a trans is about $600-700, I shipped a engine some time ago and this is about the half off that size.

berndog I thank you and think you have saved me some $$ cause if I have to ship my trans back I am way over budget..
I took a lock under the ram yesterday and found out that I have to drop both trans to get this out. is there any problems I have to watch out for?
(I have some experience on chevy trans but the mopar is new to me)

I have 46re trans and the 5.9 (360) gas engine.
I still looking for some good rebuild trans in US!

well i took the whole engine and trans out, and in that order, but on yours, i would unbolt from transfer case, then slide transfer case back as far as you can, then unbolt from cross member, then off from the two brackets on top of the cross member, then unbolt from engine and flexplate, then drop out, just watch the crossover exhaust pipe, it will prolly get in the way a little, i just unbolted mine and turned a little outta the way, then just do the opposite to put it back in, hope that helps

thanks..
when I went under to see I thought about getting both transfer case and gear. I look at the X-over/y-pipe and pray (to "god" off car) to get off the bolts.. don't look possible, without breaking them, but I'll give it a try.
didn't know that it was possible to split the gear and transfer under there. That saves me some work.
