Default Regear or carrier swap?

Hey guys, I've been looking into getting a detroit true trac put in, but with the cost of labor being the same as a gear swap I'm wondering if I should just swap mine out? I have a 04 RC/SB V6 w/ 3.55's a manual tranny and 30.5 inch tires and will probably eventually step up to 31.5 inch tires. My driving is probably a 50/50 split of city and highway so I was thinking 4.10's. What do you guys think should I just swap the carrier or regear?

if it's the same price...swap.

regearing is weird. you just just throw a new ring/pinion in there...u have to grind a bunch of crap away...it's weird.

Well I think the grinding only happens if you go w/ 4.56's, the cost is gonna be about $220 more for parts and some more gear oil to change out after break in. If I'm gonna spend so much money on just the carrier swap that much more doesn't seem like a big deal.
