Default Another Little Issue..

Went for a drive tonite, and noticed that when I shut the truck off the overhead mpg readout zeros out. It works fine when I'm driving, but as soon as i shut the truck off it resets itself
I dont see how this could be related to the issues i was having with my superchips, but I was thinking... maybe all of the key on off sequences set it to reset itself? Or maybe pulling fuses reset something? I dont think it is a blown fuse because it still works... unless there is a memory fuse?

Another thing, I reset my PCM after getting my truck tuned, and when i went to start it cranked over 5 or 6 times before starting WTF?

Any of you brilliant minds have any ideas? These really arent "big" issues, but i was hoping someone would have a clue...

THANKS!!

the constant 12v wire bad maybe, does it reset the trip meter and other saved variables from the overhead consol at the same time?

My only guess would be the reset button is shorting out. Other than that I would say call the stealership and see how much it's gonna cost ya or just wtf is wrong.
