Thumbs up Hella 500ffs and yellow HIDs

I bought some new Hella 500ff lights and put 3000K yellow HID bulbs in them. Here's a couple of pics.....one with a flash and one without. The fogs are 6000K. The free form lights really light up the road. I like them much better than the regular 500s that I replaced.

Well, here's the deal....they are 3000K HID H3 bulbs. I did not get the whole kit, just some bulbs. I am planning on getting the kit eventually, but these are just bulbs I got from a company on eBay. They are 3000K 80W bulbs and they work great.

Looks good man. I want to do that soon. Where in the back of the grill did you mount them. I have to same ram and want to do this. Can you post a pic of the light and how they are mounted. Thanks. Good looking truck.

They are a little brighter because they are 80W. The Hellas come with 55W bulbs. But they look great and cut through the darkness pretty well.

As far as mounting, just use the cross beam that is there. I drilled holes in there and used a nut and bolt. I ran the wires and used wireloom to cover it up. I used a few zip ties to keep everything secure and tied to existing looms. No sweat!

What kind of difference are you seeing between the stock hella bulbs and the new ones you put in?
