I was surprised to find out that on my trip down to houston I got a steady 25 MPG. I both calculated it, and got the average of my MPG gauge in the overhead console. Anyone else get this mileage? I'm sure some of you think I'm BSing you, but I can provide pics if needed. I will tell you this I set cruise control at 60 MPH and really tried ***** footing it on the hills/inclines.
My wife hated that trip. But hey, I always try for the best gas mileage. How many full size truck owners can really claim that kind of gas mileage? Hey, no B.S. I saw 38 MPG one time for about 1/2 a mile, but I was going......downhill. LOL.

LOL, i can get that overhead thing to read 99 if I hit reset while I am rolling down hill without touching the gas
i believe it i have done the same at those speeds. even pulling a trailer the speeds make a huge difference i pulled a 3000lb trailer at 70mph and 9-10mpg and when dropped down to 55-60 mph i got around 14mpg wich turned into an extra 175 miles on the tank of gas.
depends if you've got 2 or 4wd. I get 11mpg towing around locally or 15 highway unloaded going easy at 70mph. if I drop to 60-65 i can get 15.5. if I creep up to 75mph, then my mpg's drop to 14. I have 20's with 3:92 gears.
