Volant Cold Air Intake
Any intake over 150 is just a waste of money, imo...I would not spend the money on the volant. Compare your stock setup to the volant. The only thing different is they use a smooth tube in place of the accordion hose and a different looking box.
You guys are forgetting the number one reason for a CAI (Cold Air Induction). Air flow is important, but the reason for the over priced ticket is the a design that helps flow colder air into the intake. Cold air results in more compression, therefpre more efficiency and power.
The piece you guys are calling the Hemi Hat is really a resonator and is not designed for more torque or HP. Its there to give you dsitinctive sound. Ask any tuner and they will tell you more air in (cold air better) and more air out equals more HP and usually more torque.
My vote is on the Vararam when it comes to design and numbers. It just makes sense! Volant has the right idea, but its just not moving enough air.
Remember you are trying to increase the COLD AIR INDUCTION with a CAI system. Not sound and not huge gains in air flow, though it should be part of the design!
If you want a cool sound from the engine bay keep the Intake Resonator (Hemi Hat)
