Ram lift kits?
Hey fellas! I've been following the Ram's since I was 13, when generation 2 came out. Well I saved up and finally just bought my first truck, and of course it's the RAM. [sm=happy046.gif] I got a used 03' HEMI QC, 4x4, black on black. It's only got 18k mi and it was modified with a rear dual magnaflow performance exhaust. The sound is INCREDIBLE! I stole it from a Ford dealer for $22k out the door! Was that a good price?
Anyhow, I want to lift it maybe 6" with some 35's [sm=icon_sneaky.gif]but I'm not sure which lift is good. I have a 95' Jeep Wrangler that I lifted 6"
and the ride is HORRIBLE. I love the way the truck rides now and want to do as much as I can to keep that ride. Can anyone recommend a lift for my truck that will ride as nice as the stock ride??

even a jeep that isnt lifted is a horrible ride, but anyhow, the bigger the lift the more ride quality you will lose...i havnt heard of anyone whos ride stayed the same after a lift. but i doubt it would be as bad as your jeep since the truck is heavier and longer. id go with Rancho or Fabtech. Both make good lifts for teh rams. Rough country is cheaper but I havnt heard anything about their lifts yet.

Right on. Yeah, I called 4 wheel parts and they can only do a pro-comp for $2400 not including tires. I'd like to go with the Fabtech but I don't think it's available for my 4x4. [>:]
Thanks for the link. Those are great prices for the kits. Now if I can find an installer! [sm=smiley5.gif]

hmmm..... I have fair mechanical knowledge with no experience in welding. I have pneumatic tools, lots of patience, and am always looking for a good reason to buy more tools! Do you think I could install a lift myself? Or do yo recommend sticking with the pros and paying the extra $$?

I went with a Superlift as well. The only problem i have is that over time the suspension settles. It happens with any lift but sucks none the less. When it was just installed a couldn't get my 35's to rub the fenders no matter how much articulation i got but recently i have had a problem with rubbing when i get good and twisty. Now i am going with a 3" body lift as well just like Chauncy.
The Superlift is a very "rigid" kit, no movement or tweaking. And the guy who mentioned getting an upgraded shock was dead on. I went with a middle of the road rancho rather than the shocks that came with the kit and as far as i'm concerned my truck rides better now than when i first drove it off the lot.
